STORM MEN WIN LBBA PLATE 2012

 

Louth Storm Men successfully held off the Gainsborough Knights in the LBBA plate final 2012 to win 75 - 103. Last Year the Storm lost to the Spalding Devils by 14 points but this year would be a different outcome. Pete Clark scored 31 points and secured game MVP and Tom Jenkinson recored a double double with 17 points and double figure for rebounding. A great bench effort with high energy and committment helped the storm extend their lead and win the LBBA 2012 plate. Well done!

STOM LADIES COME SECOND IN INTER-COUNTIES

 

Storm ladies represented Lincolnshire [first time ever had a ladies team to represent county!] in the East Midlands Inter County Basketball Tournament at the Wildcats Arena in Nottingham on the 28th April.  Storm Ladies came through for Lincolnshire to come 2nd losing only to the tough Northamptonshire! Other counties playing were Derbyshire and Leicestershire. 

 

 CLARK SCORES 40 TO PUT STORM INTO LBBA CUP FINALS

 

Pete Clark and Tom Jenkinson combined for 63 points to help the Storm secure another LBBA cup final in the space of 2 years. Pete Clark was raining down the 3 ball whilst Tom Jenkinson was showing silky moves under the hoop. The storm are now waiting to see who they face in the finals. The Storm men's also have a chance to win their division if they beat Lincoln Lightning this Sunday (away game). Another great season for the men's, well done to all!

 

 

WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TO ROLL INTO TOWN

Louth Storm Basketball Club are launching a BRAND new development programme and will be the ONLY basketball club in East Lincolnshire to run a wheelchair basketball team. The team will be ran by a level 2 coach and the storm aim to develop disability sport in Louth. YES THE STORM CARES!

Louth Storm are in the process of launching a new team for the 2012 season. The Under 15 team is for 12-15 year olds (boys and girls). The team will be coached by 2 of Louth Storm Level 2 coaches and will prepare players for their transition to the Under 18's LBBA league. Mens make semi-final of LBBA Plate

 

 

Louth Storm Men have advanced to the semi-finals of the LBBA plate. Last year the team managed to get all the way to the final of LBBA cup but was outplayed in the final by the Boston Devils. This year the team face Harlaxton American College (AWAY), the team hope to make another final!

 

LADIES 'STORM' TO ANOTHER WIN

Louth Storm Ladies beat the University of Lincoln Ladies Basketball by 37 points (67 - 30). The Storm Ladies are still undefeated as they prepare for a number of out of county games in 2012. If you wish to be part of this success then check out the Storm Ladies pag

Louth Storm Ladies are still undefeated in this seasons friendly league. The ladies team have beaten RAF Waddington and the University of Hull Womens Basketball Team. Club secretary Justine Ramsden is over the moon with the teams success. More information to come. Well done girls

The storms charity match was a HUGE success with a variety of matches taking place as well dunk contests, 3-point shoot outs and 1970's retro storm mens basketball team. The committee would like to thank ALL players, supporters, teams and volunteers, the day was AMAZING!!

 

 STORM SUMMER CAMP HUGE HIT WITH LOCAL KIDS

Louth storm is a new basketball development initiative aiming to encourage the development of the game within the local area. The development plan was set up in 2009 by James Brook and Laurence Baird with the assistance from James Turner (East lindsey sports club development officer). Currently Louth Storm have a under 13 team, under 18 team, Women's and senior mens team.
